A domain name like www.your-domain-name.co.za is a website address that people will use to find you on the internet. Domain names are used as an address to locate businesses, organizations, or other entities on the Internet.

The domain name is the foundation of your website (www.your-domain-name.co.za) as well as your email address (me@your-domain-name.co.za), using a well thought up domain name allows your customers to identify and remember you more easily on the Web.

A great benefit of using your own domain name is that regardless of how many times you change your website hosting provider, your Email and website address will always remain the same.

Your hosting package determines how many addon domains you can have. Addon domains can have its own website. You can also point domains to a website provided that your hosting package is sufficient.

Registering your domain name now ensures that you own the domain name that may not otherwise be available when you want it.

Once registered, the domain name is yours, provided the domain renewal fees are paid each year.

You can park the domain, use it, sell it or lease it to other individuals or companies.

Domain parking is included free with all our domain name registrations and transfers. You do not need a hosting package to park your domain, all that you requires is to register on our website.

International TLD’s and gTLD’s domains are also available, including all the most popular .com .net .org .biz and .mobi.

With each domain name registration or transfer we include a range of free services including Domain Parking, URL Forwarding and DNS Management on our globally redundant nameservers.

Our domain registration could be complete within minutes, provided the domain registration fee is paid and your registration information is filled out correctly.

This depends on the ccTLD or gTLD that is being transferred.

Legacy .co.za domains can take up to 24 hours to transfer, while .co.za domains which are on EPP can be transferred in a matter of minutes, provided the domain transfer is accepted by the domain owner. International domains can take up to 7 days.

Local .co domains do not require an EPP code to transfer.

All international domains requires an EPP code which you will find in your current hosting account. If you cannot find it, give your service provider a call to unlock your domain and provide you with the EPP Code.

Go to Transfer In a Domain and follow the instruction. For a local .co domain you do not require an EPP code.

Once you completed the process a ticket will be send to the email you used when you registered the domain. Check your email and approve the ticket. Once approved the transfer will go through but it might take some time to propogate.

Only once the domain propogated will the domain be active on our side.

Internation domain transfers does take longer.

Please note that some providers require a 30 day notice period before the domain can be transfered.

You can also point your domain to us during the notice period and your website can be live until the transfer gets done after 30 days. Speak to our technical support to assist you.

You do not have to do anything. When you Register a New Domain or Transfer In a Domain, our technical department will set everything up for you.

A .com extention is by far the best. If you are doing local business in South Africa the most populas is .co.za

If you are going to do business internationally then we recommend that you get an international domain such as .com
